In line with the clarion call by His Excellency Governor Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) that, well-to-do individuals and especially political office holders in the State to diversify more avenues of supporting less-privileged ones in the society through different employment opportunities to cushion their hardship, more individuals and groups are steadily forthcoming with laudable gestures.
Today, we are pleased to acknowledge in good record the examplary response of Sufuyanu Yuguda Foundation, a proactive foundation operating in the State funded by its proprietor, the Hon Commissioner of Finance Alhaji Sufuyanu Bashir Yuguda Gusau.
The Foundation has distributed millions of naira to over five hundred people as empowerment to support them start a business venture for their survival and sustainability of target agenda of creating golden opportunities for securing an independent means of earning a good living.
Speaking earlier at the occasion, the Hon Commissioner Alhaji Sufuyanu Yuguda said this is part of the series of ongoing supportive programmes lined up by his Foundation aimed at complementing the State Executive Governor’s efforts towards making people self reliant and economically vaiable in the society.
According to Hon Yuguda, “Five hundred and twenty women were screened by his Foundation and today we are supporting them with the sum of five thousand naira each as empowerment assistance to boost their small scale businesses”.
The Commissioner, while thanking the State Executive Governor Dr. Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun Barden Kasar Hausa) for introducing different employment programs and other skills acquisition programs to alleviate poverty and all other forms of restiveness by our teaming youths, assured of continuous support to social Intervention policies and programs.
Also speaking, Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha Gusau, Senator representing Zamfara Central expressed satisfaction with the initiatives of boosting the ecomomic capacity of the people, adding that politics is all about delivering its dividend to the target populations, touching their lives in different perspectives.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha urged the finance Commissioner to redouble efforts in all ramifications as he foresees brighter feature on the political career of young Sufuyanu Yuguda.
The Senator further called on other politicians in the State to emulate the Honourable Commissioner in that direction.
In attendance were the Sole Administrator of Gusau Local Government Council Hon Sanusi Muhammad Sarki, Special Adviser Office of the State First Lady, among many other high level politicians in the State.
