Zamfara APC Organises Sensitisation Workshop For Party Members

The Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in collaboration with the National headquarters of the party has organized a one day sensitisation workshop for the party members in the state.

The workshop which was attended by 320 APC members across the 14 local government areas of the state was organized under the consultancy services of the Micro Expressions Consult Limited.

Addressing the participants of the workshop, the National Program Coordinator of the party, Dr. Nura Audi Usman explained that, the workshop was aimed at enlightening members of the party of the role they were expected to play in order to move the party forward.

“We want each and every member of the party to be fully aware of the rules and regulations of our great party and also to understand what he or she is expected to do to build the party”. Dr. Audi urged the participants to pay more attention during the workshop so that at the end of the program, they would go back to their respective areas and assist in building the party for the 2023 general elections.

In his speech, the state party chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Maikatako stressed that, the workshop was the first of its kind in the history of the state. Maikatako called on the people of the state to continue supporting the party and its leader, Governor Bello Mattawale for the progress and developmnet of the state. He maitained that, since he assumed office as the chairman of the party, he has been making frantic efforts in to make sure that, everybody was carried along.

He lamented however that some members of the party were not ready for the reconciliation, concluding that, “We shall move forward with or without them”. Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Yusuf Idris said the workshop organized by the national headquarters of the party was an indication that there was no faction as far as the national body was concerned. “I want to bring to the notice of those who are calling themselves as APC factional members in Zamfara state to understand that they are only wasting their time”.

“I am drawing their attention to also understand that, they have no party’s membership cards, as such, they have no business in the APC as far as the party”s constitution is concerned”.

Topics discussed during the workshop included; establishing mutual collaboration, party supremacy and discipline, managing of prospects and challenges as well as conflict resolution Others were; used and misused tools in politicking, excellent party organization, funds sourcing and priority placement in party’s expenditure.
