Governor Matawalle Readies To Host Mr. President Tomorrow

This was disclosed by the Publicity Sub Committee Chairman of the occasion Honourable Commissioner of Information Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara in a special radio phone-in programme organized by Zamfara State Radio Gusau.

According to the Commissioner, the public participation programme aimed at enlightening the general public on the level of the State Government preparations and measures put in place to ensure successful hosting of Mr. President and his entourage in the State.

Dosara explained that the President would be in Zamfara to condole the Government and good people of the State over the recent and past attacks by armed bandits in different parts of the State which resulted to loss of several lives and properties of innocent citizens.

Also contributing in the programme, chairmen of other Sub Committees namely Transport – Honourable Rabiu Garba Gusau, Security – Retired DIG Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe, State APC represented by the Party’s Publicity Secretary Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, and Special Adviser on Media and Public Enlightenment Alhaji Zailani Baffa.

All the participants shed more light on how best their respective committees ironed out modalities of discharging responsibilities shouldered on them for the success of tomorrow’s one-day Presidential visit in the State.

According to the Information Commissioner, the main expectation is for the general public in the State to re-appreciate the State Executive Governor Dr. Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun Barden Kasar Hausa) for the giant stride he makes in the efforts to restore peace and security in the State, and also to appreciate Mr. President for giving the required consideration to the people of Zamfara by mobilizing adequate personnel to curtail the excessive attacks by the bandits.

The discussants also called on people to support and cooperate with the Government and other security operatives as the occasion is bound to disrupt normal movement through minor restrictions in some strategic routes before Mr. President depart to Abuja.
