ZSHA Members Must Be At Recruitment Centres For Federal Jobs – Zamfara Govt

The Zamfara State Government has said some members of the state House of Assembly would be physically present at venues of recruitment exercises into federal establishments in the state.

The state acting Governor and Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, said the presence of the lawmakers at recruitment venues would boost the morale of applicants from the state vying for federal jobs.

He disclosed this while noting that special consideration should be given to the state in the area of recruitments.

The acting governor said the state government would continue to prioritize its indigenes on federal character principles in all appointments and recruitment exercises into federal establishments.

Magaryawill spoke yesterday when he received the ad-hoc screening committee for the recruitment of police constables from the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja, headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Hassan, in his office.

The acting governor said he is satisfied with the committee members’ composition for the state’s recruitment exercise, pointing out that the state is always “lagging behind in this type of recruitment process.”

He said special consideration should be given to the state, “taking into account our security challenges,” adding that the government “will do everything humanly possible to assist the committee in succeeding.”

Magaryawill promised that he and “some members of the state House of Assembly would physically be present at the venue of the recruitment exercise to boost the morale of our applicants as being exemplified by Governor Bello Muhammad during this type of recruitment exercise.”
