Former Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Abubakar Chika Bunu has expressed optimism in the ability of the All Progressives Congress APC to deliver Zamfara and Nigeria in the 2023 general elections.
This was contained in a statement issued by the APC Publicity Secretary Zamfara State, Alhaji Yusuf Idris Gusau and made available to the Spectacles on Saturday, 5th February, 2022.
Amb. Chika Bunu made his position known when the State APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani led some members of his executive on a courtesy call at his Abuja residence on Friday.
While describing the visit as wonderful and the first time a state Chairman considered the importance of visiting and consulting with stakeholders on the improvement of the party showed the level of commitment of such leadership in the growth, development and success of the party.
He noted that with the inauguration of the chairman and his subsequent inclusion as member of the National Executive Council NEC of the party, the chairman should continue to engage stakeholders, take and implement positive advises and then, the sky will be the limit of the party under his tenure.
Also while congratulating the chairman over his inauguration by the National leadershipof the party under His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni the party’s Extra-ordinary Convention Committee Caretaker Chairman in Abuja on Thursday, Chika Bunu noted that the action reaffirmed an unarguably acceptable congress was held to produce the new leaders in Zamfara and advised that all should join hands with the leadership for the benefit of the state.
He commended the doggedness of His Excellency and party leader of the state, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON for ensuring fairness and justice in the election and emergence of the current APC leadership of the state.
He also thanked the chairman for the visit and assured to always be involved with the leadership in all possible ways to see to its success.
Commenting earlier, the state APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani thanked his host over the way he was received along with his team, saying the leadership of the party cannot be complete and successful without the input of such visionary stakeholders and experienced personalities like the ambassador.
He said, wide consultation will continue to be the watchward of his administration which he maintained will always start with the State Working Committee SWC of the party.
Danfulani who said the party’s train has been over-flowing with passengers, also informed the ambassador that the people now have to be shifting in order to create space for more loyal and highly committed supporters who are joining by the day.
