KESIEC Conducts Smooth Local Government Polls In Kebbi

As the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission, KESIEC, conducts local Government polls this Saturday in all the 225 wards of the 21 local Government Areas,new Chairmen will emerge for the twenty one local government Councils as well as Councillors .

This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser (S.A) media to the Kebbi state governor, Yahaya Sarki and made available to the Spectacles on Saturday, 5/2/2022.

The accreditation and voting process began simultaneously by eight O’clock in the morning peacefully under condusive environment.

Some presiding officers who spoke-off Camera confirmed that the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission, KESIEC, provided all sensitive and non sensitive materials required for the polls.

In all polling stations visited voting was conducted smoothly with high turn-out of both male and female voters.

In separate interviews after casting thier votes, the political adviser who is also the Adviser on Power Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rasheed, a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Muslim and the Personal Assistant to the Governor, P. A, Alhaji Faru Musa Yaro, Enabo, expressed delight about the polling pattern.

They commended KESIEC for making the necessary preparations for the election devoid of hitches.

At Garkar Sarki polling unit in Birnin Kebbi , a female voter , Hajiya Binta Sule expressed happiness over the peaceful conduct of the voting excercise and timely arrival of both the electoral officers and voting materials .

There was presence of observers and security personnel at the poling units to ensure a hitch free Election while party agents kept vigil as the process progressed.
