Zamfara Acting Gov. Hosted Media Practitioners To A Special Dinner

The special dinner was organized by the Acting Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau specifically as a forum for re-cordialling and enhancing his relationship with all media practitioners in the State.

In a statement signed by the Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi ANIPR, DG Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Zamfara State and made available to the spectacles on 26/02/2022.

Addressing the guests, Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau stresses that the importance of media in the society cannot be over emphasized especially in a democratic setup where every citizen has the right to his opinion.

While expressing his appreciation for the tremendous support and cooperation being accorded the leadership of His Excellency Governor Bello Matawalle by media practitioners, the Deputy Governor also reaffirmed the government’s determination to improve the existing harmonious working relationship.

He also gave a highlight specifically on the State Governor’s passion on media profession and interest in the general welfare of its practitioners.

He buttressed his point with a look at how Matawalle’s administration revitalized the state-owned media organisations and has considered many people from the sector in his government at different positions.

The Acting Governor further called on members of the media in both conventional and new media to stand firm and mediates appropriately according to the ethical provisions that are the guiding principles of their operations.

At the occasion, Alhaji Bashir Sanda Gusau MD Alumma Television and Dr. Anas Sani Anka the proprietor of Thunder Blowers delivered keynote addresses at the occasion.

The Acting Governor was accompanied by his friends a visiting Senator from Oyo State Senator Kamaludeen Adedebu, Algon Chairman Alhaji Salisu Isah Dangulbi, Permanent Secretary Alhaji Bello Aliyu Gummi, Special Adviser Alhaji Ibrahim Ma’aji and many other people from different walks of life.
