Zamfara Deputy Gov Made Unscheduled Visit To Water Board

According to the Deputy Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, the State Government under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawallen Maradun will not relent its efforts of ensuring workers’ punctuality to duty, extra vigilance on public facilities, and sensitivity to the trust and confidence vested in them.

From a press statement signed by the Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, ANIPR, Director General Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Zamfara State, a copy of which was made available to the Spectacles on Wednesday 17/03/2022.

Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau expressed Government’s commitment to water board as one of the essential service MDAs. As such, impromptu visit of this nature and manner is aimed at ascertaining public-oriented operations and service delivery in key areas of adequacy and consistency in the supply of portable water..

He later led an inspection visit to Berger water barrage and main wanke barrage which is the main source of supply water to the State capital and environs.

While inspecting the operational machineries, he reacted over a water-pumping machine that was grounded for quite a long period of time. He, therefore, directed for its immediate repair of the machine and ensure full clearance of any other technical fault that may obstrct steady supply of water to the public.

In the end, Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau called on the general public to exercise patience as the government is doing its best to address the water shortage by doing the needful for the sustainability of its supply.

Speaking earlier, the State Water Board’s Managing Director Engr Buhari Salisu Dosara thanked the Deputy Governor for the visit and commended the State Government sensitivity emerging burning issues that require its urgent attention, and reassured to live up to expectations
