In a very colourful event held at the central city of Gusau the Zamfara State Capital and attended by the Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Professor Yemi Osinbajo and other top federal government personalities, the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo at the wedding stood to represent the family of the groom while Zamfara State Governor gave out the bride on behalf of the families of theDeputy Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad.
During the occasion, a special prayer led by the Chief Imam of Gusau Central Mosque Liman Muhammad Dan Alhaji Sambo and Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Tukur Sani Jangebe (Malumman Gusau) was conducted for peace and sustainable development, while another special prayers for the couples were offered for their successful marital life time and blessings towards having a fruitful union and blessings of children that do the couple and the society proud.
Liman Dan Alhaji and Malumman Gusau specifically prayed for healthier life to the President Muhammad Buhari, and Vice President for his safe trip back to Abuja together with all his entourage.
Speaking shortly after the wedding on behalf of the government and good people of the State and the family of Senator Hassan Muhammad, the State Executive Governor Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle expressed appreciation to the Federal Government delegation led by the Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbanjo, Senate President Ahmad Lawal and all the Senators present, Chairman APC Governor’s Forum Senator Sa’idu Nasamu Dakin Gari, Borno State Governo Professor Babagana Umar Zullum, Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari and representatives of other State Governors and other important personalities for honouring the State Government’s invitation to the occasion.
Dr Bello Matawalle wished the Vice President and all other invited guests safe trip back to their respective destinations.
