Bauchi Approves Umra Operations To Be Conducted By State Pilgrims Welfare Board

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad of Bauchi State has considered and approved commencement of Umra operations to be conducted from this holy month of Ramadan under the Bauchi Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, saying his Board fixed N1,250,000:00 as the cost of performing Umra at the last 15 days of this year Ramadan in Saudi Arabia.

Imam Abdurrahman attributed the devaluation of Naira against Dollars as the responsible for the hike in the fare, pointed out that Governor Bala administration has achieved admirable feats in Hajj and Umra management, by changing the narrative in Bauchi to international reference.

He therfore called on all Muslim Umma wishing to perform end of this year Ramadan Umra to immediately grab the advantage provided by Bauchi State to make payment for their Umra fare at the Headquarters of the Board in Bauchi on or before 1st April, 2022.

Imam Abdurrahman in advance, appealed to Intending Umra pilgrims to be law abiding, desist from travelling with prohibited items into the Saudi Arabia and pray for Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
