Organic Agriculture Practitioners Promise To Improve Food Production Devoid Of Scientifically Modified Food

.Farmers have been charged to redidicate themselves towards achieving foods sufficiency in the Country.

The call was made by Alh Abubakar Usman Gotomo while Presiding over this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) in Abuja.

Abubakar Gotomo who advocated for the conservation of ecosystems in Agricultural activities reminded the Organics Agriculture Practitioners of their vital role in ensuring improved food production devoid of scientifically modified food, stressing that as critical stakeholders they have a duty to champion the cause of food security in Nigeria.

He particularly urged farmers to be conscious of principle to care for all consumers and avoid use of chemicals and synthetics in the cultivation of food crops.

The Chairman of the AGM Abubakar Usman Gotomo then charged the newly elected officials of the Association to work assiduously towards achieving the objective of the Association and moving it to the highest level in the Agricultural sector.

The Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) is a non-governmental organization that was established to seve as an umbrella for all stakeholders involved in organic agriculture in Nigeria.
