APC National Chairman, Hosts APC United Kingdom Leader

The National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), H.E. Senator Abdullahi Adamu received in audience the APC United Kingdom Leader, Prince Ade Omole at the National Secretariat, Abuja, Nigeria, where the latter had gone to pay him a courtesy visit following his emergence as the National Chairman from the recently concluded National Convention of the governing Party.

The visibly elated National Chairman was thankful to the United Kingdom delegation led by Prince Ade Omole and other Executive members for their forthrightness and commitment to the ideals of the Party.

Senator Adamu prodded the visiting Diaspora leader while calling for more synergy between the National Secretariat and the Diaspora chapters across the globe, to exert more efforts at engendering camaraderie among all members for the common good of the Party and the country at large.

The Host expressed the Party’s appreciation to the United Kingdom chapter for the 20-page bundle on the achievements of the chapter. The All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom chapter had put together a summary of its achievements in a kindle file format. In the same vein, the chapter had created a web portal for the compendium of the APC-led government achievements.

The National Chairman was full of praises for the Diaspora chapters especially the United Kingdom for its relentless efforts at shaping the public perception of the APC-led administration through the continuous engagement of the public on the various social media handles of the United Kingdom chapter.

As of today, the All Progressives Congress, United Kingdom Facebook page records over 10 million views daily worldwide. Through that channel, the many activities of Nigeria’s Federal Government are published for public dissemination.

The APC UK Twitter handle, which incidentally is the only verified handle among all Diaspora handles, has been a veritable platform for checkmating fake news about the government of the day since 2015, promoting the image of the Party and putting the leadership in proper perspective against the many unfounded narratives often pushed by the opposition. This has helped the Party tremendously in shaping public perception of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Chairman, Senator Adamu, while advising and canvassing for more Diaspora support encouraged all Nigerians in the Diaspora to be good ambassadors of the country. He promised to be part of the next virtual conference, a regular virtual programme of the United Kingdom chapter that has seen several Party bigwigs attend, slated for the weekend.

The highly subscribed virtual conference features government officials and APC top-ranking leaders. The next edition, another thought-provoking virtual meeting, will be held this weekend, Saturday, April 10, 2022. The Party’s new Chairman promised to be part of the virtual engagement live.

The National Chairman who was delighted to receive Prince Ade Omole thanked him for taking time personally to visit him in person despite sending him a congratulatory letter after receiving his certificate of return. He reiterated that Prince Omole has become the face of APC members in the Diaspora.

In his remarks, the APC United Kingdom leader, Prince Ade Omole expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the National Chairman for giving him listening ears. He said he was certain the erudite Chairman, given his position as an elder statesman, a former Governor and a current Senator is well equipped with more than enough administrative acumen to pilot, successfully, the affairs of Africa’s largest political party.
