The APC National Vice Chairman (North West) Hon. Lukman Salihu has reiterated the need for reconciliation where there is disagreement between members and stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress in any of the seven states of the North West Geopolitical Zone.
This was contained in a statement signed by the APC Zonal Publicity Secretary (North West), Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, a copy of which was made available to the Spectacles on 7th April, 2022.
Hon. Lukman Salihu stated this at the inaugural meeting of newly elected zonal officials held virtually, adding that even though North West is the APC stronghold in the country, the reconciliation between the aggrieved members will make the party more formidable in the region. The Chairman went further to disclose that very soon the Zonal leadership of the party will embark on reconciliation process with all the aggrieved members of the party within the zone.
“You know as leaders, one of our major responsibility is to strengthen and reposition the party and that couldn’t be achieve without unity.
“As we all know, not only in politics in any organisation there must be agreement and disagreement, therefore the APC as a party, we give emphasis on unity, peace and stability”.
He called on APC leadership in the seven states of the zone to embrace, diolugue and reconciliation and always be fair to all members of the party.
Hon. Lukman Salihu also called on muslims to use Ramadan period and pray for peace and stability in the zone and country as a whole.
“I urged our party members and all residents to continue to pray for Present administration in the country under President Muhammad Buhari to succeed”.
