NYSC DG Showers Praises On Corps Members, Says Camp Trainings Have Proven Them Worthy

Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim has showered encomiums on corps members of the 2022 batch ‘A’ Stream II who concluded their 3-week Orientation Course exercise today, for their resilience and character amid difficult camp trainings.

He made this statement through the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr Eddy Megwa during the Closing Ceremony of the Orientation Course this morning. He said the camp trainings which they have undergone have no doubt proven them to be worthy in learning and character.
He therefore urged them to put the teachings of the Orientation Course to good use during the Service year.

Meanwhile, the Director-General has also appreciated the President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari for his concern for the scheme and his impact in ensuring the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 catered for the scheme especially during the heat of the pandemic whose rules and restrictions have now been relaxed by the Federal government due to declining rate of infection.

He charged the corps members to reciprocate this investment made on them by the Federal government by working for the development of the nation, promoting unity in the process.

Having declared the Course closed this morning, the corps members have now fulfilled the first of the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC, which is a prerequisite for the acquisition of the Certificate of National Service.
