•Over N800 Million Worth Of 2022 Ramadan Humanitarian Aid Disbursed By Zamfara state Government Through Zakkat Board
This was disclosed by the State Governor His Excellency Dr Bello Matawalle at the official flag up for the distribution of Ramadan welfare packages comprising of assorted food items, clothing materials and cash to forty thousand orphans across the State’s seventeen Emirate Councils.
In a statement signed by the Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, ANIPR, Director-General Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Zamfara State, a copy of which was made available to the Spectacles on Sunday April, 2022.
The State Governor, who was represented by the State Deputy Governor His Excellency Dr Hassan Muhammad Gusau at the event held this Sunday 10th April, at Zakkat Headquarters along By-pass Road Gusau by 2 pm, said the state government’s annual gesture is aimed at improving the living conditions of the less privileged ones especially orphans in the society.
According to the Deputy Governor, the present administration is working hard to provide maximum social security protection to target beneficiaries. He added that it also geared towards boosting their morale and enhancing their sense of belonging enough for them to adjust to useful ventures that enable them fit in well in the society.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, while commending the efforts of the officials of the State Zakkat and Endowment Board’s staff and management led by Sheikh Mallam Abubakar Sodangi Gusau for careful measures taken in validation of authentic beneficiaries from the seventeen Emirates, also called on well to do individuals and groups to emulate the State Government’s efforts especially in this holy month of Ramadan.
The Deputy Governor, on a final note, directed all the Emirs, Local Government Sole Administrators and all other key stakeholders concerned to ensure justice in the course of the distribution. This is as monitoring and feedback mechanisms were already put in place by the government at all levels.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, the Executive Chairman State Zakkat and Endowment Board Shiekh Mallam Abubakar Sodangi Gusau thanked the State Government for giving the Board free hands to perform its official responsibilities.
Mallam Sodangi further said all that is required by the Board for the success of this year’s disbursement is timely approval by the State Governor Dr Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun.
The Executive Chairman, on behalf of the Board members and staff, reassured the State Government of continuous support and cooperation not only on their mandate on zakkat and endowment activities but with all other government policies and programmes.
