Zamfara First Lady Distributes Ramadan Welfare Package To Women

The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Aisha Bello Muhammed (MON) has on Sunday flagged off distributed Ramadan Welfare Package to less privileged women across the state.

From a statement issued by the Press Secretary, Office of the First Lady, Zamfara State, Zainab Shua’ibu Abdullahi, a copy of which was made available to the Spectacles on Monday, 10th April, 2022.

Presenting the items to the beneficieries in Gusau, the First Lady who was represented by the Special Adviser to Governor, First Lady’s office, Hajiya Fatima Musa said the gesture is aimed at assisting the less previleged women headed households, orphans and widows to enjoy Ramadan fast.

She said in each of the 14 local government areas of the state, over 10,000 women would benefit from the gesture.

The package include Rice, Millet, Suger and Macaroni.

“I am happy to be here with you today witnessing another distribution of ramadan welfare package for the holy month of Ramadan.

“As we all know, this is one of various intervention programmes by my office to promote welfare and standard of living of vulnerable groups in the state.

“I am wishing all of us the blessing of this holy month”, Her Excellency explained.

Hajiya Aisha Matawalle urged beneficiaries to ensure judicious utilization of the items and feed their families.

She appealed to muslims to use Ramadan period and offer special prayers for Allah’s intervention to provide lasting solutions to security challenges facing the state and Nigeria in general.

In an opening remarks, the Permanent Secretary, State Ministry for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Barira Ubandoma described the gesture as a timely and welcome development.

Hajiya Barira said that the First Lady’ deserved more appreciation considering her various programmes inline with the policy of the present administration in the state under His Excellency, Governor Bello Muhammed (MON) that have uplifted lives of women in the state.

“On behalf of the entire women in the state, I pray for Allah’s rewards to Her Excellency, the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bello Muhammed for providing the succour to the the less privileged women and their families.”, Permanent Secretary explained.
