Kano State Commissioner for Rural Development, Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso has resigned.
His resignation comes hours after Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje gave 24 hours to political appointees who wish to run for elective offices to resign.
Musa Ilyasu is to contest for membership of the House of Representatives under Kura, Madobi and Garun Malam Federal Constituency.
In an audio clip, the former commissioner thanked Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for the opportunity.
