May Day: Prayers Observed For Workers In Kaduna State

Ahead of May Day celebrations, prayers were observed at Sardauna Memorial College Juma’a Mosque Kaduna seeking God intervention for workers in the state on Friday April 29, 2022.

During his Friday sermon, the Chief Imam, Malam Liman Sani also prayed for workers, peace, unity and development of Kaduna and Nigeria at large.

Leading the delegation, the Chairperson of the Nigeria labour Congress (NLC), Kaduna State Council, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman said similar prayer was observed last Sunday at a church in the state.

He said the prayers were for the working class, hitch-free May Day celebration and the success of the struggle of workers in the state.

He called on workers to dedicate themselves to their engagements for the development of the state.

Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria labour congress had organised symposium, prayers as part of activities marking the May Day celebration which is expected this coming Sunday or Monday at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
