Receiving in his residence the royal delegation of Emirs led by the Emir of Anka who is the Chairman Zamfara State Council of Emirs His Royal Highness Sarkin Zamfara Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmadu CON, the State Acting Governor Alhaji Hassan Muhammad (Jarman Gusau) expressed his sincere appreciation to State Council of Emirs for the honour of the highest level they have accorded him.
Jarman Gusau further stressed the need for the traditional leaders as custodians of norms and values to ensure strict compliance with all the lawsand other government policies by their subjects for sustainable peace and security in their respective Emirates.
The Acting Governor, on behalf of the State Executive Governor and the good people of Zamfara State, thanked the Royal Father’s for their unity and support to the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle.
Speaking earlier, His Royal Highness the Sarkin Zamfara and Chairman State Council of Emirs Alh Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad expressed the traditional institution’s commitment to supporting the right initiatives of the present administration in addressing the security challenges to the minimum bearing level which by extension allows for other sectors of the economy to function greatly.
Alh Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad said the usual Sallah homage is an opportunity for the Emirs to interface with the government and brainstorm over some key issues that generally affect the society socially, economically and security-wise for sustainable development.
The Chairman, on behalf of all the seventeen Emirs in attendance, congratulated the Acting Governor and the entire people of the State for observing this year’s Eid el Fitr that followed the completion of month long Ramadan fast. He hoped that the series of supplications in atonement and beseeching for Allah’s infinite mercies and graciousness be rewarded with His forgiveness and blessings to all.
A special prayer was later observed for peace and security in the State and the country at large.
