Bandits Abduct Zamfara Radio Popular Producer

A staff of Zamfara state Radio and Television Service Gusau, Malam Idris Haruna Magami was kidnapped by bandits.

Magami was kidnapped along Gusau-Dansadau road on Wednesday while going to his hometown after closing hours.

He is a popular producer of a weekly phone-in program called “Su duniya manya”.

Speaking to Analyzer news, an indigene of Magami village, Malam Almu said, “Idris Haruna Magami was traveling to his hometown together with his friend, Alhaji Kabiru when their vehicle was attacked by bandits”.

Acccording to him, the vehicle was shot by the bandits, as a result, it summersaulted and fell into a ditch.

Almu maitained that, Alhaji Kabiru was able to escape, while Idris Magami was kidnapped by bandits and taken to their hideout.

He stressed that, the bandits have already reached out to the family of Idris Haruna but were yet to disclose the amount they wanted as ransom.
