FRSC Collaborates SUBEB, SBMC To Mitigate Road Accident Involves School Children

State Sector Commander of the corp Kabiru Yusuf Nadabo stated this today during a meeting with representatives of the State Universal Basic Education Board and School Based Management Committee in his office along Ali Akilu road sokoto.

Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf Nadabo said such collaboration become imperative in view of the danger being face by school children while on transit to and from schools.

He said it’s disheartening nowadays the way and manner the lives of our school children are threatened as a result of reckless driving and over loading by drivers and riders of motorcycle and trycycles popularly known as Agwagwa da buje.

The sector commander opined that it’s unacceptable dismaying the way our pupils are being overloaded in trycycles and motorcycles on their way to and from their respective schools.

He said very soon the command will introduce road safety clubs in basic schools to instill into the minds of pupils the road safety rules and regulations right from the basic level.

In their separate remarks the Director Mobilization SUBEB Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu and State SBMC Chairman Alhaji Junaidu Umar Jabo assured their total commitment to ensuring the safety of pupils while on their way to and from their schools.

They also stressed the need for wider collaboration with both private and public sectors as well as wealthy individuals to ensuring the safety of pupils while on roads.
