Yesterday, all across the state The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) conducted what will go down in history as one of the most shameful primaries in a party politics since the inception of democracy in Abịa state. It was an open display of subverting the electoral process in its desperation to let their anointed candidates emerge.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wants to let Abians know that the 3 man adhoc delegates is a fraud, as no congress where the adhoc delegates were produced held.
A party primaries where Party faithfuls knew the results even before the primaries, as was clearly portrayed by the Deputy Chairman of Bende LGA who announced the result in his posts alleging that Hon.
Chijioke Chukwu stepped down for his political godmother when in actual sense, he had to withdraw from the primaries when he saw that there was nothing democratic in the primaries, nothing credible about it.
A party incapable of conducting a democratic primaries has nothing to offer to Abians. From this abysmal show of shame, it goes to show that PDP has nothing for Abians. if you can’t manage or organize your house, how can you manage Abia state?
The regularity of the electoral process as well as the confidence of the people in the certainty of timelines and outcomes of elections are the hallmarks of democracy, which the PDP has apparently spit on with the act of undermining the electoral process.
Our Party wants to let the PDP to note that its plans has been exposed and that Abians will never allow it to impose another misguided individual on us any more through this charade called primaries.
In the spirit of democracy, our party extends our arm of friendship to all the aggrieved aspirants who obviously were not ‘selected’ by PDP because they may work against their scheme of holding down Abịa state in perpetual poverty and backwardness, we welcome you to come join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and together we will all restore Abịa state to her glory.
Abians are determined to vote out the PDP and restore our state back to growth, inclusive governance and economic prosperity under the ADC. Abians are tired of remaining in slavery and will come out in mass to ensure that PDP is not in power beyond May 29, 2023.
