Zamfara Deputy Gov Visits Temporarily NYSC Orientation Camp In Gusau

The formal inspection visit paid this Tuesday, 31st May, 2022, to Government Science Secondary School Gusau was to further ascertain actualization of the earlier decision and fulfillment of the pledge for prompt action on relocating the Tsafe NYSC orientation camp to a temporary site which was instantly approved by the administration of Governor Bello Matawalle.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Comrade Babangida umar Zurmi, ANIPR, Director-General Press Affairs, Office of the Deputy Governor, Zamfara State and made available to the Spectacles on 31st May, 2022.

The statement reads, “temporary site was chosen by the NYSC authority to give maximum security cover to the youths deployed by the federal government in the State for national service.

It would be recalled that the Deputy Governor had visited the site a day earlier following a proposal forwarded by the NYSC authority requesting for a grant of usage of the premises following the recent visit of the NYSC Director-General in the State, Senator Hassan Muhammad who had expressed interest in that regard.

According to the Deputy Governor he has undertaken the assessment of the location to ascertain the facilities available therein and see for himself how best the State Government can fast-track quick renovation and fixing of major challenging issues in the temporary site towards meeting the standard outlook requiring of it.

The Deputy Governor also used the opportunity and addressed the teaching and the non-teaching staff of the school, informing them about the State Government’s decision of using some of the school structures and other facilities for the next NYSC orientation activities. He, therefore, called on them to support the decision by according them the required hospitality throughout their stay at the temporary camp.

The Deputy Governor directed the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Science Alhaji Ahmad Sharu Anka to furnish the State Government with immediate effect the requirements needed for approval to hasten urgent preparations before their arrival.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied at the visit by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Science and his Permanent Secretary, Executive Secretary Examinations Hajiya Zuwaira Abdu Gusau, Acting Executive Secretary Female Education Board Hajiya Barirah, State NYSC Director Muhammad Na Malam Taura, the Principal GSSS Gusau, among many top government officials”.
