This was disclosed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Water Resources Alhaji Ibrahim Isa Mayana while receiving the State Deputy Governor Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad Jarman Gusau at a special visit to the State Water Board.
Briefing newsmen shortly after inspecting major operational pumping machines that broke down resulting to shortage of water supply in the State capital for some days, Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and expertise being demonstrated by the Board’s engineers towards rectifying the problem to enable for resumption of its operations in full capacity.
In a statement signed by the Director-General Press, Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, ANIPR, said the Deputy Governor reiterated the present administration’s commitment under the leadership of His Excellency the State Executive Governor Dr Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) to addressing the decades-long challenges of water shortage being experienced by the people of Gusau the State Capital.
He thanked residents of the town over their patience and endurance during the trial period and called on them to remain supportive of all Government policies and programmes.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor directed the commissioner of the Ministry to remain focused on any possible challenging issue and report immediately for necessary action by the Government to forestall re-occurrence of water outage.
In attendance were the Commissioner of the Ministry Alhaji Ibrahim Isan Mayana, Special Adviser Hon Bashir Madaro Walin Kurya, among other officials of the Ministry and its parastatals.
