No fewer than eight terrorists were neutralized in their hideouts in Zamfara forest when troops of Operation Forest Sanity stormed the enclave to clear bandits’ camps.
Speaking on the development, Director Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, Major General Musa Danmadami in a statement made available to the media, he said, “Troops of Operation FOREST SANITY today 11 November 2022 conducted fighting patrol to clear bandits camp at Dutse Uku forest in Lanke and Danmarke villages both in Gummi Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
“While on the fighting patrol troops came in contact and engaged terrorists in a fire fight and neutralized eight bandits while others scampered for safety with gun shoot wound. “Troops exploited the general area after the fire fight and rescued four kidnapped victims, recovered six (6) AK 47 rifles, forty (40) rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, six (6) AK 47 magazines and thirty two (32) motorcycles among others items”.
He said the military high command has commended the troops of Operation FOREST SANITY.
