The Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kolo Yusuf, has assured security and safety of the National Youth Service Corps members in the state.
The commissioner gave this assurance when he visited the temporary site of the NYSC orientation camp at Science Secondary School, Gusau, the state capital.
“The visit is to enhance and strengthen the existing security arrangements of the camp with a view to ensuring safety of all the prospective corp members and management staff of the NYSC in the state,” he said.
The commissioner in his address to the prospective corps members assured them of police commitment to safeguard their lives both in the camp and at their primary areas of responsibility.
Mr. Yusuf further enjoined them to be security conscious of themselves and report suspicious movement to the police and other security agencies for prompt action.
