Zamfara ZUREPB To Close PDP State Headquarters Over Illegal Location

The Zamfara Urban and Regional Planning Board (ZUREPB) has reiterated its determination to shot down the state Peoples Democratic Party headquarters PDP over illegal location site.

This was made known by the special adviser to the governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, on ZUREPB Hon. Anas Abdullahi Kaura at a press conference in Gusau Wednesday.

According to him, the action by the board became necessary considering the fact that the PDP has wrongly rented the structure closed to government girls secondary school, state fire service, state pilgrims well fair agency and the state ministry of finance.

He said despite all efforts by the board for notifying the party on the danger of locating their state headquarters within the place, the PDP has turned their ears and continue living in the place.

“We notified them severally on the matter but refused to listen and we find it necessary to closedown the office for safety of the aforementioned ministry, school and agencies particularly as electioneering campaign commenced “.

Meanwhile, the ZUREPB special adviser pointed out that he filed suit against the governorship candidate of PDP Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare before the Federal High Court Gusau, challenging his credentials submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

“Logically we found it difficult on which name to believe on Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare in his primary, secondary certificates and his tertiary institution. “

He challenged that Dr. Dauda’s affidavit and declaration of age he deposed were also full of contradiction, hence the need for the court to offer immense clarification on the position of law regarding candidate with contradiction data for election.
