AKCIL Wants Expedite Reviews Of The College Law

The Provost Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Professor Balarabe Jakada has called on the state government to expedite reviews of the college law to make the college full pledge to awarding the National Certificate of Education(NCE).

According to him, the call has become necessary considering the college is not part of the institutions that benefit from Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND financial and infrastructure intervention which slowing down the college’s in bridging the gap.

He made the assertion during Second disbursement Provost’s education assistance 58 academic and none academic staff by the directorate of special assignment of the college.

Professor Balarabe Jakada added that despite Ganduje’s administration’s commitment to the development of the state educational sector still need the administration reviews the law to help the college to accommodate influx of NCE seekers and other disciplines offered by the college.

On the disbursement Provost’s education assistance said the effort is to support the staff of the college commitment to attains require qualification saying the assistance given to the them include those pursue PhD, Masters degree and first degree and congratulate them for been selected.

Also speaking at the event state Commissioner For Higher Education Dr. Mariya Bankure said state government executed many infrastructure projects at all it tertiary institutions.

The Director Of Special Services Of The Ministry who represent the commissioner at the ceremony Malam Naziru Yasayyadi stated that Higher Education Commissioner doing anything possible to see the college’s law reviews see the light of the day adding that soon the AKCIL became full pledge NCE awarded institution inline with Ganduje’s administration initiatives to improve educational development and continue developing infrastructure in the state higher education institutions and welfare of the staff.

In another development Professor Balarabe Jakada has reiterate the importance of Entrepreneurial education at the college’s showcase of product produce by the students.

Adding that the aims is to empower learners to create employment opportunities by equipping them with specific skills for self a employment and independence after the school.

Professor Jakada noted that Entrepreneurial education and training provides individuals with the ability to recognize commercial opportunities, self-esteem, knowledge and skills to act on them.

According to him since the college starts offering entrepreneurship it has made a positive impact on the students’ development with opportunity of making them understand a concept, managing resources, and initiating a business venture.
