ARDP Holds Interaction With CSOs, CDOs Over Zamfara Budget’s Estimates And Expenditures Of 3 Years
Arewa research and development project (ARDP) has organised a one day interaction with youths and non governmental organisation in zamfara state, over the zamfara budgets estimates and expenditure for 3 years.
Addressing the participants, professor Kabiru Sulaiman Chafe ARDP coordinator said, they are holding the interaction to sensitise people of zamfara state how their money was spent over 3 years of the budgets, and all Federal Constituency Projecs accross the state.
According to him budgets are the most instruments of government economic management strategy designed to have profound effect on the well being of its citizens in particular.
He said, capital budgetery allocations should inherently reveal a sound and coherent broad economic policy frame work that provides an adequate basis for making the actual decissions regarding public spending in directly productive activities and in social sector projects.
Professor Chafe clearly stated that it is expected to express clear sectoral development strategies and targets along with cost effective programmes to achieve those targets.
He emphasised that budget implementation must have basic principles guiding the allocation and utilization of budgets resources, which he said are prioritization, increase transparency, effeciency in budgets implementation, prudence and productivity among others.
At the interaction session which was at Command Guest House Gusau many things related to budgets and federal constituency projects were discussed.
