Zamfara Govt Commissions WCWC Hospital In Tsafe LG

Speaking at the occasion, His Excellency Governor Dr. Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) said his administration, since inception, has achieved numerous successes in the area of Healthcare service delivery.

The Executive Governor, represented at the occasion by his Deputy Distinguished Senator Dr. Hassan Muhammad (Jarman Gusau), further identified some key capital projects aimed at addressing the basic primary and secondary health challenges across the State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director General Press Affairs, Deputy Governor’s Office, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi, a copy of which was made available to the Spectacle on Thursday.

Senator Gusau, while briefing the congregation at the commissioning ceremony, said that the present administration has constructed similar health facilities in all the seventeen Emirates of the State to cater for health and well-being of women and children. He also assured the general public of their readiness to equip and provide experienced personnel to manage the facilities effectively.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Honorable Commissioner for Health Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar MC thanked the State Executive Governor for allowing his ministry to initiate and supervise the projects throughout the State.

According to him, to ensure the full take-off of all the newly constructed women and children welfare clinics, Governor Bello Matawalle has since directed the ministry to recruit over seven hundred healthcare officers and the exercise has been concluded.

Gracing the occasion, the Emir of Tsafe ‘Yandoto Alhaji Muhammadu Bawa expressed appreciation to the State Government for commissioning Tsafe WCWC and promised to constitute an Emirate committee to monitor the services and operations of the hospital, assuring that he would be visiting the facility from time to time to encourage the staff.

In attendance were the Honorable Special Advisers Habibu Yuguda, Sani Danjuma Dambo, and Bashir Madaro Walin Kurya, as well as Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Alhaji Aliyu Maikiyo, Chairman DGs’ Forum Alhaji Idris Garba Rikiji, Executive Secretary ZAMCHEMA Dr. Abdulkadir Aliyu Shinkafi, Executive Secretary Primary Health Care Board Dr. Tukur Ismail, among many others.
