Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in collaboration with local vigilantes on Sunday 12 March 2023, foiled a terrorists’ attack at Bula village of Kaura Namoda Local government area of Zamfara State.
The terrorists arrived in the village in their large numbers shooting sporadically in the wee hours of the morning.
However they were forced to retreat back to the forest due to superior fighting power of the OPHD troops who promptly responded to the distress call.
Reports from the village suggested that Bula village has been in the target list of the terrorists who frequently attack the villagers, rustle animals, kidnap or destroy their properties.
Recall that in recent times, the troops have scaled up offensives against the bandits under the leadership of the Joint Task Force Commander, Major General GM Mutkut.
General Mutkut, has since taking over office, regalvanized both kinetic and non-kinetic efforts of the operation. This has been yielding steady results as the Operation’s well coordinated operations have resulted In the destruction neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of their enclaves.
