Zamfara House of Assembly on Thursday approved the appointment Alhaji Shehu Sa’idu as the Head of Legislative Services of assembly’s commission.
In a statement issued by the Director General Press Affairs and Public Relations to the house, Mr Nasiru Biyabiki, said Sa’idu will oversee the affairs of the commission.
He said that the appointee was the Clerk of the assembly before the setting up of the state Assembly Service Commission.
Biyabiki also said the Deputy Clerk, Mahmud Aliyu, has been promoted to Permanent Secretary, Administration, while the Director Legislative Matters, Yusuf Sabo will also assume duty as Permanent Secretary, Legislative Matters.
He said that the three appointees had been sworn-in by the Speaker of the house, Alhaji Nasiru Magarya during the assembly’s plenary on Thursday.
The Speaker congratulated the new appointees and called on them to justify the confidence the house had on them.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Zamfara State House of Assembly Service Commission (Establishment Law) came into effect in 2022.
