Barau Jibril Takes Oath As Deputy Senate President

The immediate past Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Jibrin Barau, APC, Kano North takes oath as the Deputy Senate President.

Barau was nominated by Senator David Umahi (APC Ebonyi South), seconded by Senator Saliu Mustapha (APC Kwara Central).

Meanwhile, Senator Godswill Akpabio has been sworn-in as the 13th Senate President on Tuesday morning.

Their oath of office as Senate President and deputy Senate President, administered by the Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), Magaji Tambuwal, at the senate chamber.
