Dino Melaye Sympatises Kogi Workers, Says Their Pains Will Soon Be Over

Governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 11, 2023 Kogi election, Senator Dino Melaye, has admonished civil servants in the state to be patient and pray for better days ahead.

Melaye made this known when he played host to labour stakeholders, led by Comrade Akinlabi Adebayo, in Abuja on Friday.

The governorship candidate assured civil servants in Kogi state that the pains they have endured for about 8 years will soon be over.

He sympathized with the local government workers and primary school teachers for all they have been made to go through by the current administration in the state, adding that he genuinely felt their pains occasioned by piteous percentage payment of their monthly salaries in the last seven years.

He said “majority of the workers can no long meet their basic needs even to the extent that their landlords are no more ready to show them mercy due to inability to pay house rent renewal.

“They have sold all their belongings which they acquired during the last PDP administration in the state.”

Senator Melaye promised to change their stories positively when elected as the next governor in Kogi state on November 11, 2023.

He mentioned that close to eight years now, Kogi workers have been subjected to ridicule and this has really affected the standard of living of their families.

“The situation is so bad that workers don’t where their salaries have been prepared and all the accounting officers in the local government have been rendered useless. A closed mouth is a closed destiny, I will make sure their stories change positively,” he said.

Melaye urge the people to come out in their large numbers to vote for PDP on November 11 as this will usher in their long awaited fortunes and mark the end of their pains.
