Bauchi Assembly Screens 16 Out Of 20 Caretaker Committee Chairman

The screening of the caretaker committee chairman of twenty local government area of the State was conducted sequel to the receiving of nominees names from the executive.

Out of the twenty only sixteen are duly screen and confirmed as substantive caretaker chairman of their respective local governments area.

It’s the tradion the nominees introduced themselves and the Speaker asked them some constitutional questions and they responded to the satisfaction of the Honourable House. The Speaker thereafter allowed the Honourable Members to make comments and asked them some questions.

After responding to some questions if house satisfied with the answers they allowed the nominee to take a bow and go.

The honorable house through it speaker Abubakar Suleiman announced that nominees from Bauchi, Kirfi, Shira and Zaki are out of the Country and will be screened when the Honourable House resume plenary.

In an interview with some of the local government committee chairman express their readiness to work for the overall development of their local government area promise to run an inclusive government.

The House adjourned it sitting to 2nd August, 2023 as moved and seconded by the Majority Leader and the Minority Leader.
