Kano, Sokoto Ban Listening Of Davido’s Music In Public

Information reaching us has it that Kano and Sokoto States respectively have banned listening to Davido’s music in public over disrespect from Logos Olori’s JAYELO music video.

Taking to social media, an Arewa Twitter journalist, Wasapping, confirmed the news to his fellow Northern Muslims.

However, the video didn’t sit well with many, as some internet users accused him of disrespecting Islamic beliefs and practices.

The controversial music video in question features Logos Olori’s new song titled “Jayelo.”

The video, which was shot in a Mosque-like scene, depicted scenes where some men in white Jalabiya, were observing prayers. After the prayers, the men switched to dancing as they recited some Quranic verses and prayed.

Davido’s signee, on his part, copied the Muslim style of praying while sitting on the roof of the building.

However, the video generated controversy online, as some netizens accused Davido of disrespecting Islamic beliefs and practices.
