Zamfara State education sector is poised for significant advancements following a productive meeting between Governor Dauda Lawal and Arc. Sonny Echono, the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), in Abuja.

During the visit, Governor Dauda reiterated his commitment to enhancing education at all levels within the state. This dedication aligns with his campaign promise to elevate the education standards in Zamfara by addressing the pressing challenges in the sector.

Governor Dauda has taken proactive steps since assuming office, focusing on identifying and rectifying the issues affecting education. Additionally, he is determined to combat the prevalent disinterest in education among parents. His strategy involves enlightening parents about the value of education to motivate them to prioritize their children’s access to learning.

He assured the governor of TETFund’s commitment to assist in enhancing the state’s education system. Echono emphasized that Zamfara’s abundant resources and potential make it a strategic focus, essential for harnessing and nurturing growth.

Echono highlighted ongoing efforts to address security concerns at various institutions in the state, with immediate plans for additional interventions. He acknowledged the governor’s comprehensive approach and shared optimism about the positive trajectory of education in Zamfara.

The collaborative spirit between Governor Dauda and TETFund indicates a promising future for education in Zamfara. The commitment of both parties ensures that the state’s potential will be fully harnessed, contributing to the growth and development of its citizens.
