“Your Best Friend Could Be Your Worst Enemy” – el-Rufai

Nasir el-Rufai is relishing his love for a Bob Marley soundtrack that decried betrayal by close friends and allies, days after he was forced to abandon his ministerial bid over insidious attacks from Nuhu Ribadu and the backstabbing he suffered from his political protege and Kaduna governor Uba Sani.

Nasir el-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, posted this cryptic message on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter.

He shared lyrics from Bob Marley’s song ‘Who The Cap Fit’ on Sunday.

The lyrics reflect on the idea that one’s best friend could turn out to be their worst enemy, and vice versa.

El-Rufai was one of the 48 ministerial nominees submitted by President Bola Tinubu for Senate approval.

However, he, along with two other nominees, faced rejection by the Senate due to cited ‘security reports.’

This development sparked reactions both within and outside the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Despite speculation about his withdrawal from the race due to delays, el-Rufai has maintained silence on the matter.
