Mustapha Maigoro Kurya, the newly appointed caretaker Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Zamfara State, has taken the decision to remove all principal officers from the union across the fourteen local government areas of the state.
This decision was made shortly after Chairman Maigoro’s inauguration, where he directed security personnel within their respective branches to oversee the union’s operations until further notice.
Chairman Maigoro cited irregularities under the previous leadership as the reason for dissolving the local government executives.
Expressing gratitude to Governor Dauda Lawal for his appointment, Maigoro pledged inclusivity for the union’s growth within the state.
Furthermore, he urged discontented members of the state’s union to collaborate in elevating its standards.
“Our commitment to the welfare of our members throughout the state will drive us to attain our objectives,” he emphasized.
