Ministry Of Police Affairs Gets New Permanent Secretary

Dr. Nasir Sanni-Gwazor has officially assumed his duties as the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police Affairs. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the inevitability of change for civil servants, recognizing that it enhances their expertise and equips them to share the skills they’ve acquired during their tenures as accounting officers of various ministries.

The formal handover ceremony took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja, with outgoing Permanent Secretary Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan passing the torch to Dr. Nasir Sanni-Gwazor.

Bolaji Kazeem, the ministry’s spokesperson, conveyed Dr. Sanni-Gwazor’s perspective on civil servant postings, emphasizing that they are opportunities for knowledge enhancement, skill development, and increased experience within the public service.

Dr. Sanni-Gwazor stressed the paramount importance of positively impacting the lives of citizens through public service, highlighting the value-added to the nation’s citizens as a core objective.

He emphasized the essential role of the directorate cadre within the civil service, stating that the quality of a Permanent Secretary’s work is intricately linked to the performance of directors in the ministry, and this can be enhanced through cooperation and understanding.

Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, in his farewell speech, underscored the necessity for government officials to constantly assess the value they contribute to the system, making it stand out. He commended the diligence, energy, and proactive nature of the ministry’s directors, hailing them as among the best in the system.

Enitan acknowledged the unparalleled cooperation and support he received from the team and attributed the ministry’s substantial achievements to their dedication, expertise, and patriotic commitment to getting things done.
