FRSC Warns Motorists To Cease Bribing Its Personnel

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has issued a stern warning to motorists, urging them to refrain from attempting to bribe its personnel.

Fredrick Ogidan, the Kwara State commander of the corps, delivered this cautionary message in Ilorin, the state capital, while emphasizing that individuals found engaging in bribery with FRSC officials would face prosecution.

Ogidan went on to disclose that during the first half of the year, 42 road traffic offenders in the state were apprehended while attempting to bribe road marshals.

In his words, “These offenders were duly charged and fined for their infractions, but instead of settling their fines, they chose to resort to bribery.

Let me be unequivocal in stating that the rules have changed. Anyone apprehended attempting to bribe our marshals on the road will find themselves facing legal action.”
