“We Need Prayers To Address Insecurity,” Says Defence Minister

Abubakar Badaru, the Minister of Defence, emphasized the determination of himself and the Minister of State, Muhammad Bello Matawalle, to address the security challenges facing the nation following their recent appointments.

Badaru urged Nigerians to continue praying for the current administration, especially those responsible for the nation’s security, to overcome the security challenges. He acknowledged the complexity of the security situation and the need for divine support in achieving success.

Recognizing the enormity of their task, Badaru expressed their unwavering commitment to overcome these challenges and appealed to Nigerians to support them in every way, including through their prayers, to establish peace and stability in the country.

Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State led a delegation from the state, including traditional rulers, religious leaders, the business community, and public office holders, to congratulate the Minister.

He assured the Minister of their continuous support and offered prayers for his success in his new role. Namadi stressed the high expectations of Nigerians for the Minister to prioritize and address the insecurity issue, recognizing its impact on all aspects of the nation.

He also noted that even though Jigawa State was relatively peaceful, they still required assistance from the Minister to maintain that peace and security.
