Tricycle Rider Rewarded For Returning ₦18M To Passenger in Kano

Auwalu Salisu, a 22-year-old tricycle rider from Yankaba in Nasarawa local government area, is receiving an outpouring of support after he returned over ₦18 million that a passenger from Chad had forgotten in his tricycle during a trip to Kano State.

Salisu’s act of honesty was prompted by a broadcast on our affiliate station, Arewa Radio in Kano, about the missing money. Since then, he has received generous cash donations and three bags of rice from kind-hearted individuals.

The most recent act of kindness occurred last night when a generous person gifted him a brand new tricycle, allowing him to transition from daily rentals to ownership.

These donations were coordinated by the management of Cool, Wazobia, and Arewa Radio, and were presented to Salisu at their respective stations. The young tricycle rider has now become a local celebrity in Kano, with his story inspiring many.

Furthermore, the passenger who reclaimed his misplaced money also expressed his gratitude by donating ₦400,000 to Salisu as a token of appreciation.
