Ogun To Impose Death Penalty On Cultists – Gov Abiodun Declares

Ogun State’s Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has disclosed his administration’s plans to introduce legislation imposing the death penalty on individuals involved in cult activities within the state.

This decision follows remarks made by the Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who expressed concern that a significant portion of Sagamu’s youth population is involved in cultism. He stressed the urgent need for Sagamu and the broader Remoland community to address this issue.

Adejobi’s comments followed several news reports detailing the deaths of several individuals in the Ijagba Sagamu area of Ogun State on Sunday, allegedly at the hands of unidentified cultists.
