In a recent development, Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has expressed apprehension regarding the academic records of President Bola Tinubu. Atiku contends that President Tinubu might be concealing information related to his academic history with Chicago State University.
Through his Media Aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku conveyed his concerns and expressed hope that Nigerians won’t be taken aback by what might be hidden in Tinubu’s academic records.
This statement was issued in response to a legal motion filed by Tinubu, challenging a court order from the Northern District of Illinois that directed Chicago State University to release his academic records within a two-day timeframe. This order stemmed from a case initiated by Atiku, who is challenging the outcome of the presidential poll held on February 25.
Tinubu’s legal team argued in their motion that a magistrate’s role should be limited to making recommendations to the district judge, rather than issuing a final order for immediate compliance.
In response to this legal development, Ibe emphasized that Atiku’s position regarding Tinubu’s academic records will become clearer in due course.
Ibe’s statement reads: “It is increasingly apparent that Tinubu may be harboring undisclosed information in his records at Chicago State University and potentially elsewhere. I sincerely hope that whatever this may entail, it does not shock Nigerians. The truth regarding Atiku’s stance on Tinubu’s records at CSU will emerge in due time; it’s only a matter of time.”
