NADECO Urges Tinubu To Resign And Help Prevent Further Embarrassment For Nigeria

The National Democratic Coalition in the United States of America (NADECO – USA) has issued a resounding call for Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, to step down from his position in order to alleviate the growing embarrassment faced by the nation.

In a strongly-worded statement released on September 25, 2023, NADECO – USA articulated its concerns over the ongoing controversies surrounding Tinubu’s academic qualifications from Chicago State University. The group asserted that these controversies have not only raised serious doubts about the credibility of the President but have also subjected the entire nation, with its over 200 million citizens, to international ridicule and disgrace.

Furthermore, the statement from NADECO – USA did not limit its criticisms to the academic sphere. It also vehemently condemned the prevailing socio-economic challenges that have resulted from the perceived shortcomings and failed policies of Tinubu’s government. These economic and social difficulties have imposed tremendous hardships on the Nigerian populace, adding to the urgency of their demand for change in leadership.

NADECO – USA’s call for President Tinubu’s resignation represents a significant moment in the ongoing discourse about governance in Nigeria. The group’s pronouncement underscores the growing discontent and dissatisfaction among both the Nigerian diaspora and citizens within the country, making it increasingly challenging for the government to ignore the calls for reform and accountability.

The statement partly reads: “Nigeria is in the throes of a deep international image, domestic and regional crisis-bleeding profusely on both national and international stages. It is a nation held in disdain presently at the international stage; its economy is in shambles, and its people are hungry for change.

“Presently, a dollar is a stone throw from a thousand naira. Even institutions like Chicago State University find themselves on the precipice of disrepute, teetering on the brink of losing international credibility and accreditation, all due to the wake of destruction left by Tinubu’s unwavering pursuit of his questionable presidency.

“This perilous journey, fuelled by one man’s relentless ambition has led to the heartbreaking ignorance of the collective suffering of Nigerians by Tinubu and the APC.

“In a plea to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of Tinubu’s questionable ambitions, NADECO USA implores Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu to liberate himself and the over 200 million Nigerians from the impending implosion. If MrTinubu chooses to resign, perhaps Nigerians will find it in their hearts to forgive, and the secrecy legacy he leaves behind at CSU may no longer bear the stain of his political pursuits. He should be advised to do the needful.”
