AIF Appreciates APC Legal Team And Stakeholders

….Calls Abba Kabir Yusuf Not To Appeal The Court Verdict

APC Intellectuals Forum appreciates the entire APC witnesses (party agents, star witness and subpoenaed witness) who gave the direct evidence in the court, and the Legal Team led by Offiong Offiong SAN, who proved our case beyond reasonable doubt before the Kano State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and convinced the court that; INEC did not conduct the election in compliance with the Electoral Act; that His Excellency, Abba Kabir Yusuf was not a registered member of NNPP when the election was conducted; and there was over 165,000 illegal votes counted in favor of the NNPP which led to the declaration of Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of APC and his running mate Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo as the winners of Kano State 2023 gubernatorial election by the Honorable Tribunal.

In addition to the uncommon professional conduct of the legal team of our great party, the commitments to restore the stolen mandate of the good people of Kano state by the APC National Chairman, His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR, APC State Chairman Alh Abdullahi Abbas, Director General Campaign Council GawunaGaro-2023, Engineer Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, other party officials, stakeholders and supporters also contributed immensely to the legal victory of our party.

The Forum urges the ousted Governor, His Excellency, Abba Kabir Yusuf not to appeal the verdict of the tribunal because the appeal will be “dead on arrival” at both the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Going by what happened in the tribunal when the NNPP key and only witness they brought before the tribunal, who also happened to be a die-hard member of the party and the current secretary to the state government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi stated in his evidence that “he agreed with the evidences of the APC as contained in INEC document”, which affirmed and corroborated the APC’s evidence as solid and will stand the test of the appellate courts.

Basically, the AIF wishes to applaud the decision of Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi to stand by truth against his political party and help in restoring the stolen mandate of the good people of Kano State and the well-deserved success of your great party APC at the honorable tribunal.

The forum further appreciates all the supporters and members of our party and the entire people of Kano State, who have celebrated the legal victory in an orderly and peaceful manner and all the security agencies for maintaining peace and order in the state.
