BREAKING: Tribunal Sacks Gov Sule, Declares PDP Winner

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has been ousted from office by the governorship election petition tribunal based in Lafia, Nasarawa State. The tribunal has officially declared David Ombugadu, the candidate representing the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the legitimate victor of the state’s gubernatorial election.

This significant decision was rendered in a verdict delivered on Monday, with two of the justices concurring that the PDP had rightfully emerged as the victor, while one judge voiced a dissenting opinion.

Governor Sule, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had vigorously campaigned for re-election to secure a second term in office. However, his bid encountered formidable opposition during the election process.

The electoral results indicated that Mr. Sule had garnered a total of 347,209 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Mr. Ombugadu, who secured 283,016 votes.

Stay tuned for further developments on this evolving political situation.
