JUST IN: TUC Wraps Up NEC Meeting, Prepares For Crucial Talks With FG

Earlier today, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) successfully concluded its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, focusing on the recent wage adjustment for civil servants, as announced by President Bola Tinubu. This adjustment aims to alleviate the impact of the subsidy removal on Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol.

The labor union is now poised to engage in discussions with government representatives to determine the acceptance of the government’s proposal by its members.

In an interview with our correspondent in Abuja on Monday, Tommy Etim, the National Deputy President of the TUC, who also serves as the National President of the Association of Senior Civil Servants, revealed that the labor leaders had previously convened and received recommendations from NEC members. They plan to proceed with a meeting with government representatives later.

Etim stated, “We have just concluded our meeting a few hours ago and have received recommendations from our members. We will convey these recommendations to the government later today.”
