NLC, TUC Leaders Arrive State House Amidst Planned Strike

Top officials from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) convened at the State House today to discuss the imminent nationwide strike, following the conclusion of an emergency meeting held by the NLC on Tuesday.

The NLC, after their meeting on Tuesday, had indicated the possibility of a nationwide strike and expressed their intent to meet with government representatives. During the previous meeting with the federal government, it was revealed that an additional 10,000 Naira increment had been offered to the NLC, building upon the initial proposed 25,000 Naira increase for small workers. This increment was also extended to encompass all categories of workers.
